Thanks for giving this proud Mamma a moment for bragging rights!
Our daughter completed in a Triathlon this week and we were fortunate to be at the finish line.
The event was a fundraiser for the Shyann Kindness Project

***SWIM!!!!BIKE +++RUN***

Half the fun was waiting at the finish line with the kiddos for Mamma
We played "is that mamma"?

Yessss! That's mamma!
Taking the turn toward the finish line.
Peace Out
Tasting the sweet finish
Yay! Results and goal attained!
The sea of bikes
Wouldn't you know that I was so caught up in the moment that I did not get a good photo of the medal! It takes many hours of dedication to reach the finish line so I hope you will help me extend congratulations to Chelsea!

We all celebrated her birthday together at the beautiful Botanical Gardens.
Let's hear it for the GIRLS!

Please Come In

We enter our home from our garage into our laundry. Not so pretty!
Sound familiar?
Home staging usually results in a visit to this area.
The same principles apply regardless of the door you enter.
After all, home is the place we should love to enter.
What do you get when you put a contractor and a REALTOR together for a home renovation?
HOURS OF DIY (too many to mention) and a reality check.
We started with removing this dated wallpaper border.
This was a messy job using chemicals while wearing safety googles.
I was most excited about the new concrete floor that would be poured right over this 12 x 12 tile.
Demo almost done.
Things have to get worse before they get better.
Hours of Pinterest and I decided on powder blue walls.
A big oops!
In the end I repainted the room again to match the rest of the house.
The floor is a beautiful caramel color.
Time to tile the wall.
Now when we walk through our back door this is what we see.
The letters are rub ons that can be eaily removed.
Newly stacked washer and dryer provides more floor space.
Sink has a huge storage drawer for laundry supplies.
Floor to ceiling Ikea cabinets hide the unmentionables.
Added bonus is the glow that our new fixtures cast on the ceiling.
Rick did a great job on the tile.
More storage!
Of course I had to make something to put in the room.
No change to the original glass block window from the 40's.
The view from the laundry room makes me happy!
Much of my inspiration comes from Sweet Salvage in Phoenix. They are only open 4 days a month but are a stagers dream.
Since Peridot is my birthstone I was delighted by their August colors.
Loved this idea for seating at a large table.
Here are some vignettes that define staging at its' finest.
Items scaled from low to high, front to back with mixed textures and a neutral color palette.
Using old pans with magnets to display menu/recipes is a great idea.
They have a shabby chic use for old things.
This sisal display features jute upholstery webbing.
Use gravy boats all year!
In the last 20 years I can count on one hand the number of times that I visited a laundromat.
Until now.
I lost count of how many times I frequented The Maytag Just Like Home Laundromat.
I guess you could say I was a regular!

Have a blessed fall!
