Song
Well we have lots to sing about this month. Renewed and refreshed from a fabulous evening with the Tucson Police Foundation http://www.tucsonpolicefoundation.org kicked off February. I am grateful to Rick for his committment to raising funds for our police department in his fourth and final year as co-chair of the event. It was incredibly special with a heartfelt National Anthem sung by our daughter, Chelsea.
The 'morning after' was certainly one to remember as I headed to Anaheim, California with my scrap happy buddies to experience the Craft & Hobby Association semi-annual show. Inspiration was in full gear with enough ideas to last a lifetime.
What's so pretty about an open book? Everything of course!
The feature article about feathers and scrapbooking was much more dynamic than this page which was created a while back and then updated recently. This photo was taken on a family trip to Cancun.
Jack be nimble...Jack be quick...and so he is...fair of face...our Monday's child! Jack Lewis Shepherd blessed our family with his arrival on February 6th. Born to David and Chelsea he is the most handsome young man weighing in at 7lb 13oz. Yep, we are gushing grandparents whose love is somehow made stronger by this occasion.
Speaking of love made stronger, Valentine's Day will last a while longer as we anticipate our spring trip to Washington DC for a week of "Republican Passion" – did I really say that?!?!? on Capitol Hill! How do you make a political statement on Valentine's Day?
PLEASE send me your photography tips since good pics are super important for this project.
Please pray for those left helpless by this disease. The Lord does not look at the things that man looks at. Man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord look at the heart.

Gifts of chocolate decadence were delivered to our room by the catering staff at Loews Ventana Canyon Resort.
Truly an amazing experience!

The products were fabulous but THE BOOTH DECOR WAS MY MUSE! I adore MERCHANDISING so this was like indie boutique overload. All things 'home and door' caught my eye, but the 'pretties' were exceptional!

A 'porte' of another kind
These flowers may be springing up in my garden this summer.
Home and all things organized - well not really it took me a month to put my suitcase away.
The most amazing article was published in Creative Retailer February issue for the show and it featured one of my scrapbook pages.

AND...the little guy has style 'cause he left the hospital wearing shoes in the Pantone color for 2012
Tangerine Tango!
Steppin' out — but I did! He loved it and we are so excited.
2012 Committment....
Try finding numbers around your home from 1-12. It's not as easy as you might think.
Most fun to have everyone guess where they came from.
This is what I got.

Thank you for visiting and sharing your comments with me. I am filled with joy for this precious life and am reminded that it is fleeting.
Houston, we did have a problem. It deeply saddens me when drugs and alcohol take a life.
